Live type

In today's lesson i explored using live type, this is a program which lets you create titles or any other kind of animated text. U used this to produce the titles for our thriller film as we had a 4 second slot.Only long enough for  a short title. The titles were going to initially spread across across the opening twelve seconds, however we changed this as we didn't want to take anything away from the crucial few opening seconds. 
By using Live-type I was able to see different effects on different fonts and find one which suited the title we wanted on our thriller.

 Initially i started with using a red colour to the text font, however after adding in the effect 'frigid' which gave the effect i wanted this colour didn't seem to fit. This was due to the blue flash appearing from behind the font, this helped give the effect an unsettling nature. However as this clashed with the red i substituted the colour with white, this gave the text a great feeling, however this still seemed incomplete.

• Following this the box on the right shows the effects i used and the list i chose them from. In the box on the left on this screenshot you can see i have two highlighted this is because i believed it would work better with a fade in.

 This is the final title as it fades in with a blue highlight although you cannot see the effect on this image it still shows the font and colours used.
