This thrillers opening uses a vas amount of effects and fast cutting and merging. From looking this over it's easy to see the use of photoshop and a good piece of editing. the opening also houses a wide range of images which have been inverted, overlaid and imposed together. A use of a static sound-effect repeated throughout the start, this is another effective way they have tired to set the scene. This is to create an original realistic film like opening which is i believe is very effective in portraying a secret/restricted aspect. I found this to be a very effective an unsettling title sequence which did everything a thriller needs to do.
The only problem i had behind this opening was the fast change in images, i found it to be too quick and off-putting. Although i found this off-putting it's a technique which is used frequently throughout thriller openings. Example of this would be (Mimic-1997) which also has a documental broken, jittery feel to it. As (Mimic) is smoother I found it to be less distracting in setting the scene.
Following this was a cut to action, which i found to be pretty boring to be honest, it didn't really grip except for showing a camera angle i liked there was nothing else which took my appeal.
they did however use successful match on action shots and demonstrate skill in almost every area.
