Thriller is a genre of fiction in which tough, resourceful, but essentially ordinary heroes are pitted against villains determined to destroy them, their country, or the stability of the free world.
Part of the allure of thrillers comes from not only what their stories are about, but also how they are told. High stakes, non-stop action, plot twists that both surprise and excite, settings that are both vibrant and exotic, and an intense pace that never lets up until the adrenalin packed climax.

Red lights Title Analysis

http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/red-lights/

This title sequence immediatly lets you know what sort of film your about to be seeing with images of the mind; showing broken, distorted images and photographs. Instantly painting a complex disturbed starting image, setting the scene even before the initial action starts.

The majority of the stars shown are on single title cards, this shows the significance of the actors in the film and along with there value.

I see this as a possible idea for the titling. Due to our small cast it would be possible to give them each a single title card to credit them. the dissolve of the text with it's erratic nature is another part of the titling which appeals to me.

Overall i find this sequence to be very effective at setting the mood/ scene for the start to the film. i couldn't find any flaws throughout except it seemed very close to a horror by opening. However i recognise these two genres are closely linked an therefore it couldn't be helped.
